quick response	QR - Retail use of bar code devices to capture inventory and sales data allowing "Quick Response" to customer demand.
quiet zone	(clear area, light margin) The area that must precede the start character and follow the stop character of a bar code symbol and surround OCR-A data, which contains no mchine-readable markings or extraneous spots. it is quiet in terms of scanning signals.
