Information technology	Spesso abbreviata con l'acronimo IT, l'espressione indica l'insieme delle tecnologie per la rappresentazione, l'elaborazione, la memorizzazione e la trasmissione delle informazioni. Letteralmente l'espressione vuol dire tecnologia dell'informazione.
intercharacter gap	E' lo spazio tra l'ultima barra di un carattere e la prima barra del carattere successivo in alcune simbologie del codice a barre ( Codice Discreto ), questi spazi non sono utilizzati per la codifica dell'informazione. The space between the last bar of one character and the first bar of the next in a bar code symbology that does not utilize these spaces for the encodation of information. interleaved 2 of 5	A bar code symbology which encodes the numeric set ( 0-9 ), a unique start character, and a unique stop character. Each character has 5 elements ( 2 wide and 3 narrow ). The characters are paired together using bars to represent the digit; therefore, there must always be an even number of digits in this symbology, Interleaved 2 of 5 is a continuous code. Any lenght of data can be encoded but in a specific application there should be only one fixed length code. See also ITF and bar code manual.
ITF 2 of 5	Interleaved Two of Five - An abbreviation used in International Artical Numbering system ( IAN ) to identify its application of interleaved 2 of 5 symbology. As with any application standard, parameters are set which make the symbology application-specific. For Example, the most common reference in the EAN system is to ITF-14 symbols, which defines the number of digits encoded.
